Terms of use
These terms of use (the "Terms of Use") govern access to and use of the ClassLab platform. By creating an account or using the service, the user unreservedly accepts these Terms of Use.
1. Purpose
ClassLab is a management platform for teaching and academic-support organisations: student tracking, lesson scheduling, billing, communication and public pages. These Terms of Use define the conditions for using the service.
2. Definitions
- Service: the ClassLab application and all its features.
- Organisation: the structure (independent teacher, school, organisation) holding a workspace.
- User: any person accessing the Service (administrator, teacher, student, parent).
3. Access to the service and account
Access requires the creation of an account and verification of the email address. The user undertakes to provide accurate information and to keep their credentials confidential. They are responsible for any activity carried out from their account.
4. User obligations
The user undertakes to use the Service in accordance with the law and these Terms of Use. The following are prohibited in particular: fraudulent use, infringement of third-party rights, the publication of unlawful content and any attempt to disrupt the Service.
5. Availability and maintenance
The publisher endeavours to keep the Service available but undertakes no obligation of result. Access may be suspended for maintenance operations or in the event of force majeure.
6. Intellectual property
The Service and its components remain the property of the publisher. The user retains ownership of the content they publish and grants the publisher a limited hosting and display licence necessary for the operation of the Service.
7. Personal data
Data is processed in accordance with the GDPR. Each Organisation acts as data controller for its students' data; ClassLab acts as a processor for hosting and technical processing. Data subjects have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection.
8. Liability
The publisher provides a technical tool and cannot be held liable for the educational services, content or shortcomings of the Organisations. The publisher's liability is in any event limited to direct and foreseeable damage.
9. Termination
The user may close their account at any time. The publisher may suspend or terminate access in the event of a serious breach of these Terms of Use, after notice where possible.
10. Amendments
The publisher may amend these Terms of Use. Users are informed of substantial changes; continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated version.
11. Governing law
These Terms of Use are governed by French law. In the absence of an amicable settlement, disputes fall within the jurisdiction of the French courts.
